Robot Systems programmer

Responsibilities: Robotic system design, setup and programming, which includes 3-4 generation of industrial robots and robot controllers, different makes of PLC and vision systems. Perform feasibility studies of new applications. Develop, as a part of the team, new processes, modules, drivers, and robotic system solutions. Quickly and efficiently respond to customer request for service. Be a good listener to understand customer requirements. Resolve robotic/vision related open issues successfully in a very short period of time, often in stressful situations. Conduct business in ethical and professional way to establish and maintain good relationships between Midwest Robotics and customers to secure repeat business and referrals.

Requirements: Proven experience with robot programming (FANUC TPP and Karel), FANUC robot controllers troubleshooting and maintenance (RJ2, RJ3, RJ3iB, RJ3iC), PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron or GE FANUC), PC programming skills (VB, C) Vision systems (Cognex—Insight, FANUC, DVT). Willing to travel (up to 50%) to customer sites for a short and extended period of time. High– motivated, results-oriented individual, who can quickly and easily adapt to fast-paced environment. Technical Associate degree plus 4-5 year of direct experience at an automation or automotive company. Preferred: Bachelor degree in mechanical, robotics or electrical engineering plus at least 1-3 years of relevant experience. This is a contract to hire position.
